During a London High Court hearing on Friday, Timothy Otty KC, representing MI5, announced that the security service has accepted it gave evidence based on lies to three courts. Senior MI5 officers were repeatedly dishonest while defending a violent neo-Nazi spy.
The case centres around a investigation into how the MI5 agent used his role to abuse his girlfriend. This is the first time the security service has accepted that lies were told to the courts while defending the violent informant.
The lies were revealed by in February 2025, which the security service then vehemently denied.
