Hundreds of demonstrators participated in anti-migrant protests in Dover on Sunday and Portsmouth this past weekend. The events, which included masked individuals in Dover and a crowd attempting to block migrant coaches in Portsmouth, have been linked to a single organizer, Danny Thomas, also known as Danny Tommo.
Beyond the role of Thomas, the incidents have been attributed to poor decision-making by Border Force officials. The local police commissioner has described the Portsmouth protest as a wake-up call for government.
