Official incident reports indicate that York initiated contact by responding to an advertisement on a known prostitution website using the alias “Joe.” He sent multiple messages attempting to arrange a meeting, though the undercover officer did not reply to his initial inquiries. The following morning, York reached out again and confirmed his location in Boardman, Ohio, which is situated roughly 15 miles south of East Palestine. During the exchange, he agreed to pay $160 for one hour of what was described as “full service sexual activity.” The officer provided a fictitious lot number at a local mobile home park to facilitate the meeting.
Upon arriving at the mobile home park in a rental vehicle, York was unable to locate the specified lot and returned to the main road, where he was intercepted by officers. While an affidavit signed by an arresting officer suggested an agreed price of $140, both court records and the incident report confirmed that police seized $160 from York, along with his mobile phone, which was later returned. Following the legal proceedings, York was sentenced to one day in jail for each charge, to be served concurrently, with one day of credit for time served. He was also ordered to pay $1,150 in total fines.
The NFL has confirmed it will conduct an investigation into the incident to determine if disciplinary action is warranted under the league’s personal conduct policy.
