Long before she became a prominent White House staffer for President Donald Trump, Natalie Harp maintained a prolific social media presence defined by extreme devotion to the president. A review of her now-removed account on X, formerly Twitter, reveals that she published more than 150 posts on January 6, 2021, as the events at the U.S. Capitol unfolded. During that day, she repeatedly urged Republicans to “FIGHT FOR TRUMP” while echoing claims that the 2020 election had been stolen.
Harp, who was 29 at the time and served as a host for One America News Network, identified herself in her social media biography as a member of a Trump “advisory board.” As crowds gathered near the White House for the president’s speech, she amplified messages from Trump’s family members, including declarations that “this movement will never, ever die!” She characterized the demonstrators as “patriots” and challenged lawmakers to match the “courage & passion” of the attendees, explicitly stating, “today we STOP THE STEAL!”
Her activity included promoting rhetoric from Rudy Giuliani, including his call for “trial by combat,” and live-tweeting the president’s speech with repeated exhortations to “FIGHT FOR TRUMP!” When the Capitol was breached, Harp shifted her messaging to claim that the rioters were not genuine Trump supporters, while circulating unverified reports suggesting Antifa had infiltrated the mob. Later, she shared the president’s public requests for the crowd to vacate the premises.
David B. Cohen, a political science professor at the University of Akron, described Harp as a “totally loyal sycophantic adviser and staffer” for the president. Cohen noted that Trump favors such displays of reverence and avoids those who might challenge his perspective. Neither Harp nor the White House provided comments regarding these findings. It remains unclear when her account was suspended or whether she or the platform removed the content.
Harp’s alignment with the president’s narrative was established well before the riot. In the weeks leading up to January 6, she warned followers that “January 6th is coming!!” and described Joe Biden’s election victory as “A COUP.” Her history of support dates back to at least 2016, and she frequently utilized religious language to defend the president, including during his 2019 impeachment, when she tweeted Bible verses asking God to “vindicate” him against an “unfaithful nation.”
Following the events of January 6, Harp continued to praise lawmakers who challenged the electoral count, including Rep. Jody Hice, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Josh Hawley, whom she labeled a “true patriot.” She also lauded six senators—Ted Cruz, Hawley, Cindy Hyde-Smith, John Kennedy, Roger Marshall, and Tommy Tuberville—for their refusal to waver. When Trump eventually acknowledged that a new administration would take office, Harp responded by reaffirming her commitment, posting, “We love you, President @realDonaldTrump!”
Currently serving as a close aide during the president’s second term, Harp has largely operated behind the scenes, though she recently gained public attention when Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff cited her in a speech. Additionally, the Daily Beast recently reported on letters attributed to her that express deep personal loyalty to the president.
